They have a nice thick, bubbly wrapper (see photo). Not to be confused with the spring rolls that so many restaurants pass off as egg rolls. Spring rolls have a thin wrapper that looks smooth when fried.<\/p>\n<p>Use the extra wrappers to make wonton strip snacks or semi-hard chow mein noodles.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup diced pork loin<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">14 oz bag coleslaw mix<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Seasonings for vegetables<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp white pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Marinade for pork<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp white pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp Shaoxing wine<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Wrap &amp; Fry<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">quart peanut oil for frying<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">8<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">(7-inch square) egg roll wrappers<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">egg mixed for sealing wrappers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>Cook pork:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mix <strong>pork<\/strong> with the <strong>marinade<\/strong> ingredients and set aside for 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Heat 1 TBS <strong>oil<\/strong> in wok, add <strong>pork<\/strong> and stir fry until well done. Remove to a bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Clean wok.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook filling:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat 1 TBS <strong>oil<\/strong> in wok, add <strong>vegetables<\/strong> and stir fry for 1 minute. Add <strong>seasonings,<\/strong> stir fry for 30 seconds. Add <strong>pork<\/strong> and stir fry for 2 to 3 minutes, until vegetables are wilted. Remove to a sheet pan and set aside to cool.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Wrap &amp; Fry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Add \u215b <strong>filling <\/strong>to wrapper and roll up. Paint the point with <strong>egg<\/strong> wash and seal.<\/p>\n<p>Deep fry at 350\u00b0F until golden-brown, 5 to 7 minutes depending on <strong>oil<\/strong> temp. Drain.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><b>Make Ahead:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">These freeze well in a quart freezer bag.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\"><b>Reheat:<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">Preheat oven or toaster oven to 400\u00b0F. Separate and deep fry in batches for a couple of minutes.
