Combine <strong>cold water<\/strong> and 8 tablespoons <strong>melted butter<\/strong> in medium bowl, stirring until butter forms small clumps.<\/p>\n<p>Add <strong>buttermilk<\/strong> mixture to dry <strong>ingredients<\/strong> and stir with rubber spatula until just incorporated and <strong>batter<\/strong> pulls away from sides of bowl. Using <strong>greased<\/strong> \u00bc-cup dry measure, scoop level amount of <strong>batter<\/strong> and drop onto lined rimmed baking sheet <strong>(biscuits<\/strong> should measure about 2\u00bc inches in diameter and 1\u00bc inches high). Repeat with remaining <strong>batter,<\/strong> spacing <strong>biscuits<\/strong> about 1\u00bd inches apart.
