Novice bakers, this one\u2019s for you.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dough<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup pecans<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup plus 2 TBS all-purpose flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp kosher salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp ground cinnamon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup (1 stick) chilled unsalted butter, cut into pieces<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Filling and Assembly<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">12<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz blueberries (about 2 cups)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS cornstarch<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp fresh lemon juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup sugar, plus more for sprinkling<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">All-purpose flour (for surface)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS milk, half-and-half, or heavy cream<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nDough:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 350\u00b0F. Toast <strong>pecans<\/strong> on a rimmed baking sheet, tossing once, until fragrant and slightly darkened, 10\u201315 minutes; let cool. Pulse <strong>pecans<\/strong> in a food processor until the consistency of coarse meal. Add <strong>flour, sugar, salt,<\/strong> and <strong>cinnamon<\/strong> and pulse just to combine. Add <strong>butter<\/strong> and pulse until mixture resembles coarse <strong>meal<\/strong> with a few pea-size pieces remaining.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer to a large bowl; drizzle with 4 TBS <strong>ice water<\/strong> and mix, adding another TBS of <strong>water<\/strong> if needed, just until <strong>mixture<\/strong> comes together. Gently pat <strong>dough<\/strong> into a 6&#8243;-diameter disk. Wrap in plastic and chill at least 1 hour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do Ahead: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dough<\/strong> can be made 2 days ahead. Keep chilled, or freeze up to 1 month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Filling and Assembly:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 375\u00b0F. Toss <strong>blueberries, cornstarch, lemon juice,<\/strong> and \u00bc cup <strong>sugar<\/strong> in a large bowl.<\/p>\n<p>Roll out <strong>dough<\/strong> on a lightly floured surface to a 12&#8243; round. Carefully transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Mound <strong>blueberries<\/strong> in center of <strong>dough,<\/strong> leaving a 2&#8243; border. Fold edges over, overlapping slightly. Brush <strong>dough<\/strong> with <strong>milk<\/strong> and sprinkle with <strong>sugar.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Bake <strong>galette<\/strong> until crust is dark golden brown and filling is bubbling, 45\u201350 minutes. Let cool before serving.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Do Ahead: Galette<\/strong> can be baked 1 day ahead.
