True Alfredo sauce has no milk or cream, but this is a worthwhile replacement.<\/p>\n<p>This recipe was on the Olive Garden web site with some of their other recipes, but the whole recipe page is now gone.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">3<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz good butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS Garlic<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS AP Flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup whole milk<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup heavy cream<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup imported Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, grated<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup imported Romano cheese, grated<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">Salt and black pepper to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nSaut\u00e9<\/strong> the <strong>butter<\/strong> and <strong>garlic<\/strong> in a saucepan on medium heat. Cook for 1 minute, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<p>Add the remaining ingredients to <strong>saucepan<\/strong> and stir occasionally until the <strong>sauce<\/strong> begins to simmer. Remove from heat.<\/p>\n<p>Serve the <strong>Alfredo sauce<\/strong> over your favorite <strong>pasta,<\/strong> like <strong>fettuccine, linguine<\/strong> or <strong>bow tie.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Note: The key to making the best <strong>Alfredo sauce<\/strong> is quality ingredients like a good <strong>butter<\/strong> and freshly grated <strong>Parmesan<\/strong> cheese.
