We love this over some simple white or brown rice with a green salad on the side.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">6<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">salt, to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">pepper, to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup AP flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS onion, finely chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup dry white wine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp dried tarragon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00be<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup chicken broth<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup heavy cream<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper and dredge in flour. Set aside remaining flour.<\/p>\n<p>Heat 3 TBS of butter over medium heat in large skillet and brown chicken on both sides. Remove chicken and keep warm.<\/p>\n<p>Saut\u00e9 onion in same skillet until it begins to become clear.<\/p>\n<p>Add wine and cook until liquid is almost evaporated, stirring to loosen browned bits (deglaze) on bottom of skillet. Watch closely &#8211; this happens fast!<\/p>\n<p>Reduce heat to medium-low and stir in reserved flour until it becomes a thick paste.<\/p>\n<p>Add tarragon, chicken broth and the cooked chicken. Cover and cook until chicken is 165\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>Place chicken on a warm platter.<\/p>\n<p>Add remaining butter and heavy cream to the liquid that is in the skillet and heat through.<\/p>\n<p>Pour sauce over the chicken and garnish with a little more tarragon or some chopped fresh parsley or green onion if desired.<\/p>\n<p>Serve with Rice, Couscous and a green vegetable.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yield: 6 Servings Adapted from Food \u201cThis delicious chicken and easy creamy tarragon wine sauce cook right on the stove top.
