Would fool me.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cups AP flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS plus 2 tsp baking powder (HA: 1 TBS)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp Kosher salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">3<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS vegetable shortening at room temperature<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">4<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS cold unsalted butter, cut into \u00bd-inch pieces<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">6<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz shredded sharp cheddar cheese<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup buttermilk<br \/><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Seasoned butter:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup butter, melted<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp fresh parsley, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">clove garlic, smashed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preheat oven to 450\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Seasoned butter:<\/strong> Melt the <strong>butter<\/strong> with the <strong>garlic<\/strong> in a small saucepan over medium heat, cook for 1 minute. <\/p>\n<p><strong>Mix biscuits:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">Pulse the <strong>flour, baking powder, sugar<\/strong> and <strong>salt<\/strong> in a food processor. Add the <strong>shortening<\/strong> and pulse until combined. Add the <strong>butter,<\/strong> pulse 4 or 5 times, or until the <strong>butter<\/strong> is in pea-size pieces. Add the <strong>cheese<\/strong> and pulse 2 or 3 times. Pour in the <strong>buttermilk<\/strong> and pulse just until the mixture is moistened and forms a shaggy <strong>dough.<\/strong> Working on a lightly floured surface, knead the <strong>dough<\/strong> 3- to 4-times until it comes together. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough into a 1\u00bc-inch thick rectangle. Cut out 10-12 rounds using a\u00a02\u00bd-inch biscuit or cookie cutter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Body\">Place on a baking sheet 2 inches apart, and bake until golden, 15 to 20 minutes.
