I had it there and thought it was great. When I searched for similar recipes, I found numerous copies, all with the same ingredients and instructions.<\/p>\n<p>The Avocado butter was too salty. Updated to half the salt listed below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Swordfish &amp; Marinade:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">4<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">8 oz swordfish steaks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup vegetable oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp lemon zest, grated<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup fresh lemon juice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cloves garlic, crushed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Avocado Butter:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup butter, softened<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup ripe avocado, mashed<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp lime zest, grated<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">5<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS fresh lime juice (about 5 to 6 limes)<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS fresh flat-leaf parsley, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">garlic cloves, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1\/4<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp salt<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nFish &amp; Marinade:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pierce <strong>swordfish<\/strong> on both sides with fork. Arrange in single layer in baking dish. Blend <strong>oil, soy sauce, lemon juice <\/strong>and <strong>zest <\/strong>and <strong>garlic.<\/strong> Pour over <strong>swordfish<\/strong>. Marinate 2 hours turning occasionally.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Avocado butter:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Combine <strong>butter<\/strong> and <strong>avocado<\/strong> in a small mixing bowl; beat at medium speed of an electric mixer until smooth. Add the <strong>lime juice and zest, parsley, garlic,<\/strong> and <strong>salt;<\/strong> stir well. Cover and chill until firm. If desired, shape <strong>butter<\/strong> into small bowls before serving.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Grill: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat grill or broiler. Drain <strong>swordfish<\/strong> &#8211; reserve <strong>marinade<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Grill or broil (4-inches from burner) <strong>swordfish<\/strong> 9 minutes per 1-inch thickness.
