Nowell<\/h6>\n<p>Adapted from a few different recipes. Basically a beef lo mein or beef chow mein. It&#8217;s good though.<br \/>\nServe with pot stickers, etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For Beef and Marinade:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lb beef, sirloin steak, thinly sliced across the grain<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS dark soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS Shaoxing rice wine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS garlic, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS sesame oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp corn starch<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For Sauce:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup beef broth<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS oyster sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp dark soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS Shaoxing rice wine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp sesame oil<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>For Slurry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp corn starch<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u215b<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup water<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stir-fry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz snow peas<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">8<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz chow mein noodle<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS ginger<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS green onion, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Marinate beef:<\/strong> In a bowl add beef, dark soy, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, garlic, sugar and cornstarch. Mix well and set aside for at least 1 hour on the counter, or up to overnight in the refrigerator.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Premix sauce: <\/strong>In a small bowl or measuring cup, add beef broth, oyster sauce, Shaoxing wine, dark soy, sugar, sesame oil and mix. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Slurry:<\/strong> Mix corn starch and water, set aside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Snow peas and noodles:<\/strong> Bring 6 quarts of water to a boil. Blanch snow peas for 1 minute, then remove to cold water. When the water returns to a boil, cook noodles for 3 minutes, then remove to cold water.<br \/>\nWhen snow peas and noodles are chilled, drain and set aside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stir-fry beef:<\/strong> Heat 1 TBS cooking oil and stir-fry half of beef until browned on both sides. Remove to bowl. Repeat for remaining beef.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finish:<\/strong> Add a little oil to wok. Stir-fry ginger and green onion for 30 seconds. Add premix sauce and bring to boil. Add slurry to thicken. Add beef, pea pods and noodles. Mix well, adjust seasoning if needed.<\/p>\n<p>Serve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yield: 4 Servings S.
