It uses minimal spices and has the sweetness of crab to bring out the flavors of the salmon. The mayo and cream cheese give it a silky texture to prevent it from drying out. Excellent with a side of Parsleyed Potatoes and Green Beans.<\/p>\n<p>\ud83d\ude10 The crab is good, but detracts from the salmon. $24 for a small package of lump crab is a complete waste in this dish. The stuffing without the crab would be fine on the salmon. Make crab cakes with the lump crab, neither needs the other.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lb salmon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lb lump crab<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS mayonnaise<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS cream cheese<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp grain mustard<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS old bay seasoning<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lemon<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">egg<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">green onion<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS parsley<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup breadcrumbs<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">salt and pepper to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">Parmesan cheese to taste<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">pinch of paprika<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">pinch of oregano<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Adjust oven rack to top shelf. Preheat oven to 425\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep: <\/strong>Peel and slice the <strong>potatoes.<\/strong> Trim <strong>beans.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook Potatoes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a medium pan, add <strong>potatoes<\/strong> and cover with 1-inch of <strong>water.<\/strong> Add 1 tsp <strong>salt<\/strong> and bring to a boil. Cook until tender, 10-14 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Drain, add 2 TBS <strong>butter<\/strong> and mix gently to coat <strong>potatoes.<\/strong> Add 2 TBS <strong>parsley,<\/strong> mix, cover and set aside off heat.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make Stuffing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Beat together the <strong>egg, mayonnaise,<\/strong> <strong>cream cheese<\/strong>, <strong>grain mustard<\/strong>, <strong>lemon juice<\/strong>, <strong>old bay seasoning<\/strong>, and <strong>breadcrumbs.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fold in the <strong>green onions<\/strong>, <strong>parsley,<\/strong> and <strong>lump crab meat<\/strong> gently, cover and chill for about an hour.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep and Cook Salmon:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Season the <strong>salmon fillets<\/strong> with <strong>salt<\/strong> and <strong>pepper<\/strong> and slice <strong>salmon<\/strong> filet lengthwise down the center to create space for <strong>stuffing.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Stuff <strong>Salmon<\/strong> with <strong>crab-meat filling<\/strong> and then place on a lightly greased baking sheet.<\/p>\n<p>Grate some fresh <strong>Parmesan cheese<\/strong> on top of the <strong>crab-meat filling,<\/strong> sprinkle a little <strong>oregano<\/strong> and <strong>paprika,<\/strong> then place in the oven for about 16 minutes or until fully cooked through.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Serve:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Divide <strong>salmon, potatoes<\/strong> and <strong>vegetable<\/strong> between plates.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Side dish suggestions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"332\"><strong>Vegetables<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"291\"><strong>Starches<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"332\">Green Beans<\/td>\n<td width=\"291\">Steamed Parsleyed Potatoes<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"332\">Asparagus<\/td>\n<td width=\"291\">Couscous<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"332\">Broccoli<\/td>\n<td width=\"291\">Baked Potato<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td width=\"332\"><\/td>\n<td width=\"291\">Noodles<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<footer class=\"entry-footer\">\n<hr \/>\n<\/footer>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yield: 2 Adapted from: https:\/\/www.cookedbyjulie.com\/crab-stuffed-salmon\/#recipe This classic Crab Stuffed Salmon recipe is straightforward and simple.
