This killer recipe for beef and broccoli is cooked on a single sheet pan in the oven so you don\u2019t have to stand over or monitor a wok. And it is delicious. A decadent sauce, tender beef, and perfectly crisp but tender broccoli make this a family favorite.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lb flank steak<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lb broccoli florets<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">sesame seeds for garnish<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Steak Sauce<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS oyster sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp garlic powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS minced garlic<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp sesame oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp corn starch<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Sauce<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS oyster sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS hoisin sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS brown sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u2153<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup vegetable stock<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>red pepper flakes<\/strong><\/span> or to taste <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Preheat oven to 425\u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>Place the <strong>flank steak<\/strong> on a half-sheet pan.<\/p>\n<p>In a small bowl mix the &#8220;<strong>Steak Sauce<\/strong>&#8221; ingredients<strong>: oyster sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, minced garlic, sesame oil,<\/strong> and <strong>corn starch,<\/strong> and whisk until smooth.<\/p>\n<p>Pour over <strong>flank steak<\/strong> and spread evenly over the top.<\/p>\n<p>Bake for 15-17 minutes depending on the thickness of the <strong>steak.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While the <strong>steak<\/strong> cooks, blanch the <strong>broccoli<\/strong> for 90 seconds in <strong>boiling water.<\/strong> Remove to <strong>ice water.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, mix <strong>sauce <\/strong>ingredients: <strong>oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>soy sauce, vegetable stock,<\/strong> and <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>red pepper flakes<\/strong><\/span>, in a medium sized bowl, whisking until smooth.<\/p>\n<p>When time is up, remove <strong>steak<\/strong> from oven, and slice into super thin slices, against the grain (this will help it be tender).<\/p>\n<p>Return <strong>steak<\/strong> and any juices to the pan.<\/p>\n<p>Dump <strong>broccoli<\/strong> over the top of the <strong>steak.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pour <strong>sauce<\/strong> over the top of all of it and stir to mix it all together.<\/p>\n<p>Return to 425\u00b0F oven and bake an additional 5-8 minutes until <strong>broccoli<\/strong> is fork tender.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from oven. Top with <strong>sesame seeds,<\/strong> stir well to coat everything in <strong>sauce.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Serve over <strong>jasmine rice,<\/strong> and spoon some of the <strong>pan sauce<\/strong> over the top if you wish.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Sheet Pan Dinners Yield: 4 Servings adapted from: eazypeazymealz Don\u2019t you know that beef and broccoli is all about the sauce?
