Inspired by the tasty filling in Chinese egg rolls, this ground pork skillet requires very little chopping thanks to a bag of coleslaw mix, but it\u2019s full of ginger and garlic and all the hallmark flavors you expect from egg rolls.<\/p>\n<p>Note: Needs a starch or something crunchy.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS olive or vegetable oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lb ground pork<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">medium yellow onion, diced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">kosher salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">freshly ground black pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">3<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cloves garlic, minced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS minced peeled fresh ginger<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">(14-oz) bag coleslaw mix<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup thinly sliced scallions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp toasted sesame oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp rice vinegar<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Heat the <strong>oil<\/strong> in a large frying pan over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the <strong>pork<\/strong> and <strong>onion,<\/strong> and season with <strong>salt<\/strong> and <strong>pepper.<\/strong> Cook, breaking up the <strong>meat<\/strong> into small pieces, until the <strong>meat<\/strong> is cooked through, and the <strong>onion<\/strong> is tender, about 8 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Add the <strong>garlic<\/strong> and <strong>ginger<\/strong> and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p>Add the <strong>coleslaw mix<\/strong> and <strong>soy sauce<\/strong> and cook, stirring occasionally, until the <strong>cabbage<\/strong> is crisp-tender, about 3 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from the heat, add the <strong>scallions, sesame oil,<\/strong> and <strong>vinegar,<\/strong> and stir to combine.
