Served atop a bed of jasmine rice with green beans to the side, they bring a tour-de-force of Asian-style flavors that both kids and adults will find easy to love.<br \/>\nPrep: 10 Cook: 25<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">thumb ginger<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cloves garlic<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">scallions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lime<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00be<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup jasmine rice<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">6<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz green beans<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp sesame oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS sesame seeds<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">12<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz chicken tenders<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">3<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS white wine vinegar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp cornstarch<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">salt &amp; pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">cooking oil<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nPreheat and prep:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Wash and dry all <strong>produce.<\/strong> Adjust rack to middle position and preheat oven to 425\u00b0F. Bring 1 1\/4 cups <strong>water<\/strong> and a large pinch of <strong>salt<\/strong> to a boil in a medium pot. Peel <strong>ginger<\/strong> and mince until you have 2 TBS. Mince <strong>garlic.<\/strong> Trim, then thinly slice <strong>scallions,<\/strong> keeping <strong>greens<\/strong> and <strong>whites<\/strong> separate. Halve <strong>lime,<\/strong> cut one half into <strong>wedges.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook rice: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once the <strong>water<\/strong> is boiling, add <strong>rice<\/strong> to pot. Cover, lower heat, and reduce to a gentle simmer. Cook until tender, 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and keep covered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roast green beans: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Toss <strong>green beans<\/strong> with a large drizzle of <strong>oil<\/strong> on a baking sheet. Season with <strong>salt<\/strong> and <strong>pepper.<\/strong> Roast in oven until crisp, 10-12 minutes. After they\u2019ve finished roasting, toss <strong>green beans<\/strong> with 1 tsp <strong>sesame oil,<\/strong> half the <strong>sesame seeds,<\/strong> and a squeeze of <strong>lime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook chicken: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat a large drizzle of <strong>oil<\/strong> in a large pan over medium-high heat. Pat <strong>chicken <\/strong>dry with a paper towel. Add to pan and cook until browned but not cooked through, 2- to 4-minutes per side. Remove from pan and set aside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Don\u2019t overcrowd the pan with chicken\u2014you may want to work in batches.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Make sauce: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat a large drizzle of <strong>oil<\/strong> in the same pan over medium-high heat. Whisk together <strong>soy sauce,<\/strong> \u00bc cup <strong>sugar,<\/strong> 2 TBS <strong>vinegar,<\/strong>\u00a0and <strong>cornstarch<\/strong> in a small bowl. Put <strong>scallion whites, garlic,<\/strong> and <strong>ginger<\/strong> in pan and cook, tossing, until softened, 1-2 minutes. Stir in <strong>soy sauce mixture<\/strong> and bring to a simmer. Let thicken slightly, about 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Finish and serve: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Add <strong>chicken<\/strong> to pan and toss to coat. Cook until no longer pink in center, 2-3 minutes. Add a squeeze of <strong>lime<\/strong> to <strong>rice,<\/strong> then fluff with a fork. Divide <strong>rice, green beans,<\/strong> and <strong>chicken<\/strong> between plates. Drizzle with any <strong>sauce<\/strong> in pan.
