It cooks super-quickly and brings a tour de force of Asian-style flavors<br \/>\nPrep: 10 Cook: 30<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">scallions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lime<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS sesame seeds<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">thumb ginger <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">clove garlic<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">10<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz shrimp<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">6<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz green beans<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup jasmine rice <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">TBS hoisin sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">salt &amp; pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">cooking oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">butter<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nPrep: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Adjust rack to top position and preheat oven to 425\u00b0F. Wash and dry <strong>produce.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Trim and thinly slice <strong>scallions,<\/strong> separating <strong>whites<\/strong> from <strong>greens.<\/strong> Peel and mince or grate <strong>ginger.<\/strong> Peel and mince <strong>garlic.<\/strong> Quarter <strong>lime.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook aromatics: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Melt 1 TBS <strong>butter<\/strong> in a small pot over medium-high heat. Add <strong>scallion whites<\/strong> and half the <strong>ginger,<\/strong> cook until fragrant, 1 minute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook rice: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Add <strong>rice,<\/strong> \u00be cup <strong>water,<\/strong> and a big pinch of <strong>salt<\/strong> to pot with <strong>aromatics.<\/strong> Bring to a boil, then cover and reduce to a low simmer. Cook until <strong>rice<\/strong> is tender, 15-18 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Keep covered off heat until ready to serve.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marinate shrimp: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While <strong>rice<\/strong> cooks, rinse <strong>shrimp<\/strong> under cold <strong>water<\/strong> and pat dry with paper towels. Toss in a medium bowl with <strong>garlic,<\/strong> half the <strong>hoisin,<\/strong> and remaining <strong>ginger.<\/strong> Season with <strong>salt<\/strong> and <strong>pepper.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Set <strong>shrimp<\/strong> aside to marinate for at least 5 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roast green beans: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, trim <strong>green beans,<\/strong> if necessary, toss on a baking sheet with a drizzle of <strong>oil<\/strong> and a pinch of <strong>salt<\/strong> and <strong>pepper.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Roast on top rack, tossing halfway through, until browned and slightly crisp, 12-15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cook shrimp &amp; serve: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat a drizzle of <strong>oil<\/strong> in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add marinated <strong>shrimp<\/strong> and cook, stirring, until <strong>shrimp<\/strong> are opaque and cooked through, 3- to 4-minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Divide <strong>rice<\/strong> between plates, top with <strong>green beans<\/strong> and <strong>shrimp.<\/strong> Sprinkle with <strong>scallion greens<\/strong> and as many <strong>sesame seeds<\/strong> as you like.
