Let cool down.<\/p>\n<p>In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix until fully incorporated.<\/p>\n<p>Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a uniform loaf.<\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 375\u00b0F. Bake the <strong>meatloaf<\/strong> for 45 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Remove the <strong>meatloaf<\/strong> from the oven. Spread <strong>tomato sauce<\/strong> evenly over the top, then return it to the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from the oven once more, sprinkle with 1 cup of grated <strong>provolone cheese,<\/strong> and bake for another 10 minutes, or until the <strong>cheese<\/strong> is melted and bubbly.<\/p>\n<p>Allow the <strong>meatloaf<\/strong> to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.<\/p>\n<p><strong><strong>Sauce:<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Prepare the vegetables:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Dice the <strong>onion,<\/strong> mince the <strong>garlic,<\/strong> and dice the <strong>Roma tomato.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a large skillet over medium heat, warm \u00bc cup of <strong>olive oil.<\/strong> Add the <strong>onion<\/strong> and <strong>garlic,<\/strong> and saut\u00e9 until they turn a light golden color.<\/p>\n<p>Stir in the <strong>basil<\/strong> and diced <strong>Roma tomato.<\/strong> Cook for 10 minutes, then add the <strong>crushed tomatoes, salt,<\/strong> and <strong>black pepper.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Continue cooking for another 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.<\/p>\n<p>Remove from heat and set aside until ready to use.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yield: 4 Adapted from: Brooklyn Brothers Craving a delicious and comforting dinner?
