Add the <strong>shallot<\/strong> and <strong>ground beef<\/strong> and cook until browned, for about 5-7 minutes. Drain any <strong>fat.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Add the <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">chili powder<\/span>, cumin, dried oregano, garlic powder,<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>salt<\/strong>, <strong>pepper, tomato paste<\/strong> and <strong>water.<\/strong> Stir to combine and continue cooking over medium-low heat until the <strong>sauce<\/strong> has thickened, about 3-5 minutes<\/p>\n<p>Serve warm over <strong>tortillas<\/strong> with <strong>lettuce, tomatoes, cheese<\/strong> and <strong>red onions,<\/strong> or your other desired toppings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yield: 4 Adapted from: feelgoodfoodie These are tasty but a bit on the messy side.
