Stacy Cook<\/h6>\n<p>Say some nice stuff about the recipe Jed.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Prep:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">4<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cloves of garlic, minced, divided to 2 portions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">slices of ginger<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">onion, sliced into bite sized pieces, separated<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">12<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz snow peas, strings removed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Shrimp and marinade:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">12<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">oz shrimp, peeled and deveined<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">small pinch sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">small pinch salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">small pinch white pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp cornstarch <\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp sesame oil <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Slurry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup water<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp corn starch<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Stir fry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">cooking oil as needed<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">small pinch sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">small pinch salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"id-ingredient-name\">small pinch sugar<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp rice wine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup water<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">2<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp rice wine<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp oyster sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00be<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp dark soy sauce<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">pinch black pepper <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nPrep: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Mince <strong>garlic,<\/strong> slice <strong>ginger,<\/strong> remove strings from <strong>snow peas,<\/strong> set them aside.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marinate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Pat <strong>shrimp<\/strong> dry, add <strong>sugar, salt, white pepper, cornstarch<\/strong> and mix. Add <strong>sesame oil<\/strong> and mix. Set aside.<\/p>\n<p>Make <strong>slurry.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Stir fry:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heat 1 TBS <strong>oil<\/strong> into a hot pan, add a pinch each of <strong>sugar<\/strong> and <strong>salt.<\/strong> Mix. Add <strong>onion<\/strong> and stir fry. Remove to plate.<\/p>\n<p>Add <strong>oil,<\/strong> if necessary, add 2 slices of <strong>ginger<\/strong> and sizzle for 10 seconds, add half of the <strong>garlic, sugar, salt<\/strong> and stir fry for 10 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>Add <strong>snow peas<\/strong> and fry until coated in <strong>oil.<\/strong> Add 2 tsp <strong>rice wine,<\/strong> stir fry to let alcohol evaporate. Add \u00bc cup <strong>water<\/strong> and cover for 10 seconds. Remove the cover and remove <strong>snow peas<\/strong> to plate.<\/p>\n<p>Add <strong>oil<\/strong> if needed and add <strong>shrimp.<\/strong> Spread <strong>shrimp<\/strong> out to single layer and pan fry until browned on both sides. Add the remaining <strong>garlic<\/strong> and stir fry until shrimp are about 60% cooked. Add 2 tsp <strong>rice wine,<\/strong> Stir fry, when <strong>liquid<\/strong> evaporated, season with 1 tsp <strong>soy sauce,<\/strong> \u00bd tsp <strong>oyster sauce<\/strong> and \u00be tsp <strong>dark soy sauce.<\/strong> Stir fry and add <strong>slurry.<\/strong> Bring to boil, stirring until it thickens.<\/p>\n<p>Return <strong>snow peas<\/strong> and <strong>onions<\/strong> to pan. Add some <strong>black pepper<\/strong> and give a few quick stirs, then serve.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yield: 4 to 6 Cook!
