It was OK, I think it would be better with a dip in egg wash before the flour.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">lb jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup AP flour or half corn starch<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp kosher salt<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp ground black pepper<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">tsp garlic powder<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bc<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup olive oil<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Egg wash:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">1<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">egg, beaten<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"quantity\">\u00bd<\/span><span class=\"ingredient-name\">cup milk<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Heat the <strong>olive oil<\/strong> in a large saut\u00e9 pan over medium-high heat.<\/p>\n<p>Add <strong>flour, salt<\/strong> and <strong>pepper<\/strong> and <strong>garlic powder<\/strong> to a gallon size Ziploc bag.<\/p>\n<p>Mix <strong>milk<\/strong> and <strong>egg<\/strong> in shallow bowl to form even mixture. Dip <strong>shrimp<\/strong> in <strong>egg mixture<\/strong> and transfer shrimp to bag with <strong>flour.<\/strong> Shake well to coat <strong>shrimp.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Shake off the excess <strong>flour<\/strong> and add the <strong>shrimp<\/strong> to the pan in a single layer.<\/p>\n<p>Cook the <strong>shrimp<\/strong> for 1-2 minutes on one side, or until golden-brown. Then turn <strong>shrimp<\/strong> over and cook on the other side for another 1-2 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Place <strong>shrimp<\/strong> on a paper towel to drain and serve immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Sharon&#8217;s tips:<br \/>\nPlace the plastic bag with the leftover <strong>seasoned flour mixture<\/strong> in the freezer to use the next time you make these <strong>shrimp.<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Yield: 4 Servings Adapted from: Grits &amp; Pinecones This could be good.
