Timothy Scanlon, son of the late Lawrence and Mary Scanlon of Taunton, died suddenly Sunday in a New York Hospital after a brief illness. He was a native of Taunton but had lived in New York for 20 years. He was 55 years old. He leaves two sisters, Ellen and Mary Scanlon and two brothers, Lawrence and William Scanlon, all of Taunton.

Funeral services for Timothy Scanlon, who died in the Bellevue Hospital, New York City, were held this morning at 8 from the Fahey Funeral Apartments followed by a high mass of requiem at St. Mary's Church at 9. Rev. Thomas Walsh was celebrant of the mass attended by a number of relatives and friends. Flowers were numerous. Bearers were James McGann, James O'Brien, Patrick Hayes, William Sullivan, Henry Sullivan and Charles Abbott. Interment was at St. Francis Cemetery.
