In the name of God Amen The Tenth day of October Ano Dm' 1640 And in the sixteenth yeare of the Raigne of o^r Soveraigne Lord Charles by the Grace of God King of England Scotland Fraunce and Ireland defendo^r of the Faith e[t]c I William Tutty of the Parish of St Stephens in Coleman-street London gent being at this present in health and perfect memory praise bee given to God for the same Doe make and declare this my last will and Testament in manner and Forme Following That is to say First and Principally above all earthly things I comend my soule into the handes of Allmighty God m heavenly Father trusting only in the meritts of Christ my savio^r and redeemer to receive eternall salvation both of soule and body at the last day My body I comitt to the earth whereof it was made to bee buried in christian buriall in the place where I shall happen to decease or at the discretion of my executrix hereafter in this my will named And for my estate w[hi]ch God in mercy hath lent unto me I dispose of it as Followeth vizt Imprimis I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Anne Tutty all my plate and housholdstuffe and my seale ring only I desire her that my children may enioy the plate tha twas given them at their baptizing every one their owne Item whereas my sonne William Tuttty hath already had a liberall and Competent part of my estate in his maintenance in the University of Cambridge and in a parcell of bookes lately bought be mee of Nathaniell Micklethwayte my wifes sonne executor of Paul Micklethwaite late Doctor of Divinity deceased and given him amounting to the sum[m]e of about Forty pounds I therefore give unto him only the sume of Tenne pounds of lawfull money of England to bee paid him by my executrix within one yeare next after my decease in liew of a Childs portion out of my estate Item because I have already given unto my eldest daughter Anne lately married w[i]th Alexander Knight of Ipswich in New England beyond the seas a Competent marriage portion I therefore give unto her in full of her childs portion the sum[m]e of Tenne pounds more to bee paid her alsoe by mine executrix within one yeare after my decease And as for all the rest and residue of mine estate w[hi]ch God in mercy hath given mee my will is that it bee devided into two equall parts the one halfe whereof I give unto my said beloved wife Anne Tutty and the other halfe part thereof I five to bee devided equally amongst the rest of children now living that is to say John Tutty Joseph Tutty Benjamin Tutty Samuel Tutty Elizabeth Tutty Dorcas Tutty and Hester Tutty and to bee paid them as followeth vizt unto my said sonnes w[i]thin six monethes next after every one of them shall come forth of his apprenticeship and to my said daughters when they shall accomplish their sev[er]all ages of one and twety yeares or bee married in case they shalbee married w[i]th their mothers consent before that age And if it happen any of said last menc[i]oned children shall dye or decease before the said terme of age or intermarriage my will is that the portion of him her or them soe dying as aforesaid shalbee and remaine unto the survivo^r or survivo^rs of them to bee devided amaongst them by equall porc[i]ons and to bee paid them as aforesaid And of this mylast will and testament I make and ordaine my said wife Anne Tutty to bee full and sole executrix hereby revoaking all former wills and doe establish this to bee my last will and Testam^t In witnes whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale the day and yeare first above written William Tutty Sealed published and deliv[er]ed by the said William Tutty as his last will & testam^t in the p[rese]nce of John Wheatley Scr[ivener] William Branded John Case.
